Interaction with both guests and travel planners, telephonically & via email
Planning and designing itineraries for travel planners and guests
Handling reservation requests from either e-mail, telephonic or fax
Processing of reservations from quote to finalising, including reservations, invoicing and travel documents
Professional servicing of our dynamic Travel Planners
Selling of our products and services
Interaction with colleagues, guests and suppliers
Maximum 24 hours turn around time on all enquiries
Saturday duty and Cell phone Duty on a rotation basis
Public Holiday duty and Cell phone Duty on a rotation basis
Backup for colleagues when they are away from the office
Expanding product knowledge through attending training sessions
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
A good knowledge on any of the destinations that we promote – Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda, Seychelles
A good knowledge on FIT and Groups policies and procedures
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English
Telephone and selling skills
Organisational skills which include time management and prioritising of tasks which will require a person who enjoys dealing with detail
Understanding of travel industry through study or work experience
Working in an orderly manner to ensure that files can be continued by other consultants when necessary
System skills required include
Computer literate with experience with Word and Outlook
Use of banners
Compiling itineraries
First Responses
Guest Feedback
Quoting & Booking local and international flights
Working experience in Tourplan, preferably Groupbook
Loading quotes
Allocating space
Overriding rates
Quoting adult and child rates
Quoting group and guide rates
Invoicing
Crediting
Thorough understanding of accounts summary
Arranging refunds
Daysheets
Vouchers
Working experience in GDM
Loading Opportunities
Updating guest profiles

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of two year’s previous tour consulting experience required

My client is an Internationally acclaimed privately owned Lodge in the Marakele National Park in the Waterberg Mountains.
You will oversee the smooth running of the hotel, working to budgets and maximising revenue. Promoting the hotel and its restaurants to the local and wider community.
