Sales Manager

We are currently in search of a Sales Manager for a 5 star property based in JHB. The ideal candidate must come from an Hospitality background 

Responsibility 

  • Primary focus will be on corporate( establish new business, sustain existing one) 
  • Be in good position to understand the demands and how to assist in bringing new business, good knowledge of the company brand.
  • Achieve their objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing data on past performance, and projecting future performance.
  • Reporting directly to Sales & Marketing Director.
  • At least min 3 to 5 yrs experience in sales 
  • Must be a strong and driven individual.
  • Must not be scared to propose new rates when required. 
  • International exposure as the candidate will be working closely with other sales and marking managers within the Group

Sales Operations Manager

We are currently in search for a Sales Operations Manager for a luxury tour operator based in Sandton. 

KEY OUTPUTS:

  • Actively lead a team of Travel Specialists
  • Support the Direct Sales activities of the regional businesses (South Asia and South America)
  • Aggressively pursue direct sales targets as defined by the Group Sales Manager – Direct
  • Optimize Team performance through training, exposure, and feedback and quality assurance
  • Maximising the Teams’ understanding of the Commission Calculator Tool and drivers
  • Train and motivate Team to search for sales leads and prospects
  • Enhance, streamline and simplify the day to day operations of the Team 
  • Conduct regular one-on-one discussions with Team members
  • Continuous feedback and information sharing with the Group Sales Manager – Direct to ensure the alignment of process, sales methodology, reporting and sales force development across Teams; 
  • Ensuring consistency and best practice is documented and applied across the teams as approved by the Group Sales Manager – Direct
  • Setting up of ad-hoc sales initiatives and campaigns to drive focus areas of the business
  • Set examples for the Direct Sales Teams in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits 
  • Working closely with the other Sales Operations Managers – Direct as well as the Direct Administrative Assistant, acting as an overall Sales Operations team
  • Assistance with the setting up of the annual Direct Indaba. This includes flight co-ordination, communication, budget management, minuting of action items and any other assistance required depending on the Direct Indaba for that year
  • Point of contact for teams’ Staff Night and Educational Requests. Adherence of team members to these policies, as well as monitoring feedback time frames and updating of Educational reporting
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all employees 
  • Support the team on social media platforms and motivate team to maximize opportunities on social media
  • Assist with recruitment, contracting, training and mentoring of new Team members 
  • Ensure an effective and detailed handover should a Team member leave 
  • Impeccable governance of Team contracts
  • Monthly submission of direct sales reports, as determined by the Group Sales Manager – Direct
  • Ensure brand compliance of all “team” interactions

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (QUALIFICATIONS OR TRAINING PROGRAMS):

  • Microsoft Outlook with strong Excel skills
  • Travel and Tourism Diploma or Industry Experience
  • Knowledge of Tourplan, Maximizer, WETU, Social media platforms of Facebook, Instagram and , Blogs advantageous

Groups and Incentives Sales Manager

We are currently in search for a VIBRANT AND ENERGETIC Groups and Incentives Sales Manager for a tour operaing company based in Sandton, Gauteng . 

KEY OUTPUTS:

Clients Guests and Suppliers

  • Communication with all relevant parties (Manager, clients, travel consultants, sales teams and lodges) about all developments with regards to guests and guest feedback
  • Be on call for any major emergencies and immediately alert the client and Regional Touring Manager
  • Constantly re-evaluating internal processes, eliminating any re-work to ensure the smooth, effective and efficient functioning of the team
  • Actively work at improving information flow to all key partners
  • Assess and continually improve sales process
  • Assess and continually improve sales and marketing materials required to grow and drive business.
  • Actively support market sales managers and representatives to grow business in long term
  • Specifically tailor and cater for the multi-channel and markets we actively seek groups business.
  • Continuously striving to ensure that relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, sales teams and Lodges remain strong, open and transparent
  • Ensure all client and/or guest complaints are replied to immediately and follow process of informing Guest Feedback and ensure Regional Manager Touring copied on all relevant correspondence
  • Assisting consultants in advising clients on all product related queries
  • Managing quality control process on all reservations queries and issues, accurately, efficiently and timeously
  • Actively handle files
  • Manage and maximize margins for the entire team looking to achieve agreed budgeted margins
  • From time to time be available to meet with international clients, host dinners, site inspection and /or host educational and attend trade shows
  • Streamline booking process for groups establishing best operating practices for the teams in its working environment
  • Negotiate preferential rates with suppliers and specialised terms for group bookings
  • Implement secondary buying with the groups team to increase
  • Must be able to do on-site inspections with Clients and assist with traveling groups

Finance

  • Manage costs in line with revenues and budgets effective to ensure a profitable business units
  • Set Revenue targets and forecasts
  • Ensure through strong commercial focus that all files are profitable and that margins remain in line with  guidelines and immediately bring to attention of Regional Manager touring any errors resulting in loss of margin through consultant or supplier error
  • Month end processes and procedures to be complete accurately and timeously complying too the month end time table
  • Support and communicate with accounts teams to ensure debtors are collected timeously and inform Regional Manager Touring and Sales Director/Sales Manager of any potential bad debt

People 

  • Managing a team of groups consultants
  • Manage staff and lead by example
  • Empowerment, training, motivating and performance conversations in conjunction with your team leader
  • Ensuring personnel files are kept up to date
  • Interviewing and hiring new staff in alignment with HR toolkit
  • Promote team work within the internal teams with focus on other reservations teams, sales teams, product/rates teams and finance

Lodge Manager

We are currently in search for THE MOST DELIGHTFUL, ENERGETIC and HANDS ON Lodge Manager for an INTERNATIONAL AWARD WINNING 5 Star LUXURY LODGE in the Sabi Sands. The ideal candidate MUST come from a 5 star background and have EXTENSIVE MANAGEMENT SKILLS

The Lodge Manager will be responsible for managing the operations and guest experience at Lodge. Listed below are the requirements for this position.
