We are now in search for a Financial Administrator for a 5 star award winning private island in Mozambique

Key Outputs:

Accurate recording and management of financial information for all business units
Monitoring the controls within the lodges and conducting internal audits
Maintaining and improving high financial standards
Meeting finance deadlines
Training of staff from various backgrounds and skill levels if required.
Collation and resolution of general ledger queries
Interpretation and analysis of management accounts
Holding monthly finance meetings to discuss financial performance.
Reconciling various accounts including clearing and Bank Accounts.
Maintaining stock control procedures, updating stock sheets with correct prices, assisting with stock counts when required.
Develop and implement systems and procedures.
Oversee and assist in the compiling of budgets.
Processing of guest bills and supplier invoices on QuickBooks.
Assist lodge managers/ Director with queries.
Assisting with year-end audit and stock takes.
CAPEX – Tracking the spend.
Collation and accuracy of Sustainability Stats.
Reconciliation of fuel
Flagging problem areas
Business compliance on track and in place – including liquor license, business license etc.
Submission of VAT returns and other statutory payments timeously.
Managing, reconciling and processing of the lodge petty cash
The Implementation and / or maintenance of financial systems, processes and procedures
Analysing and tracking the Maintenance spend
Budget/re-forecasting expenses

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (QUALIFICATIONS OR TRAINING PROGRAMS):

B Com or relevant qualification
Computer literate –Excel is essential
QuickBooks experience preferable
VIP experience preferable
Understanding Portuguese an advantage

KEY OUTPUTS:

KEY OUTPUTS:
LODGE MANAGEMENT

Support General Manager in overall responsibility for the effect management and running of the lodge. To ensure the lodge and brand are taken to the next level of service standards.
Overall Day to Day Management Of the Lodge, including North Camp, South Camp, Tree Camp and all the back of house departments.
Support General Manager in budget creation, management and control
Work directly with head of housekeeping, butlers, camp managers and General Manager to ensure company Lodge and Service standards are maintained at all times and ensure costs and budgets are managed and not exceeded.
Assist in placing and monitoring of all lodge operational stock orders
Assist with strategic relationships with the National Parks Authorities, Agents, Staff, Unions, Neighbors & Communities
Assist General Manager in creating an environment where the company Golden Thread is continuously met and visible throughout the daily functioning of the lodge
Assist in working with Regional Fleet & R&M Managers on developing and implementing projects in conjunction with the company’s Health & Safety standards.
Ensure implementation and project management of lodge annual strategy

HOSPITALITY

Overall responsibility for implementing service and hospitality training plan at lodge, including
Butler training
Housekeeping training
Any other service and hospitality training as needed
Oversee and develop guest delight activities
Work with General Manager and Executive chef to ensure menu and food are aligned to lodge quality standards and food budgets are being met and monitored
Daily meeting with Heads of Department to discuss the daily plan, including arrivals, departures, maintenance, food, special requests, bush banqueting
Hosting all guests Agents and Media, large events (groups, weddings, wine cellar)
Assist with daily guest information and requirement to ensure an extraordinary guest experience and help creating daily guest delights.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Work with General Manager in driving community development projects in conjunction with the Africa Foundation
Work with Sustainability Manager on developing and implementing projects in conjunction with the company’s sustainability & Conservation strategy.

At least 3 years Management Experience in a 5 star operation

Assistant Management Couple Exclusive 5 Star Villa Western Cape

We are looking for an assistant management couple for an exclusive 5* villa based within a nature reserve in the Western Cape. We are also in the process of opening a 5* boutique hotel within the next year so there will be space for growth.

Him:

The gentleman will need some form of guiding experience, a minimum requirement would be a FGASA level 1. Once employed he will need to study an FGASA level 1 marine course which the company will assist with. He will also need to help with maintenance around the lodge.

Her:

The lady should have food & beverage experience as she will be in the kitchen for 2 weeks of her 6 week cycle. During this time she will be the only chef so she will need experience in all fields of the kitchen. For the rest of her cycle she will be hosting guests and doing admin. Experience in Panstrat will be an advantage however the company will assist with this training.

Him:

FGASA level 1
Valid PDP
Some maintenance knowledge

Her:

Formal cooking degree/diploma preferable
Work well under pressure and time related decision making
The ideal candidate must be strong in all fields in the kitchen, hot, cold and pastry as you will be responsible for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Both must have at least 2 years experience in the industry, be able to manage staff, have great guest relations/hosting skills and be willing to work as a team.
